Class Levels

TERRIFIC TINY TENNIS

Children, 5-7 years of age, play FUN activities and games on the “42 ft. court” with low compression tennis balls.  Lessons are designed to enhance their athletic and skill development in a success oriented environment.    We recommend the 21” to 23” rackets.

QUICKSTART TENNIS

Learn simple and efficient techniques on the “60 ft. court” with  low compression tennis balls.  Emphasis on control, consistency, sportsmanship, and FUN!  We recommend the 25” rackets. Ages 8-10.

QUICKSTART  ADVANTAGE TENNIS

Review and develop techniques on the “60 ft. courts” with low compression tennis balls.  More emphasis on depth, direction, and spin.  Players should have prior Quickstart experience and/or instructor’s approval.  Ages 8-10.

NOVICE TENNIS

Develop the essential techniques with emphasis on control, depth, and direction on the “78 ft. court” with regulation tennis balls. Lessons will also incorporate rules, sportsmanship, and basic doubles play. Juniors ages 11-14 and Adults 15 & Up.

LOW INTERMEDIATE TENNIS

For players who are consistent on a slow pace rally but needs to develop better depth, directional control, and use of spin.  Review and strengthen stroke techniques with more emphasis on basic strategy and tactics.  Juniors ages 11-14 and Adults 15 & Up.

INTERMEDIATE TENNIS

For players who are consistent on medium pace rally but needs to develop more spin, power, and/or variety. Refine stroke techniques, strategy, and tactics with performance enhancing drills.  Juniors ages 11-14 and Adults 15 & Up.

INDIVIDUAL TENNIS LESSONS

Personal and semi-private (1-4 players) lessons taught by the staff of Stanford Hall of Fame John Whitlinger and longtime Stanford/USPTA Elite Pro Tom Sarsfield. Please contact one of our Pros directly to set up your lessons. All ages welcome, beginners to advanced players.

ADULT NOVICE PICKLEBALL

Learn the fundamentals of Pickleball, the fastest growing racket sport in the world!  Class covers all the essential strokes (ie. forehand, backhand, volleys, dinks, drop shots, overheads, serves), rules/ scoring, and basic play.  Please join the FUN!  

ADULT LOW INTERMEDIATE PICKLEBALL

Review and strengthen stroke techniques with more emphasis on basic strategy strategy and tactics. This second level class will also introduce poaching and stacking formations.

ADULT INTERMEDIATE PICKLEBALL

Players will enhance their tactical and strategic play with competitive situational drills. Refund stroke techniques with more emphasis on spin, power, and touch.
